Warsaw nov 12

After a morning city tour we realized what a turbulent history Poland has had. Monuments everywhere attested to the battles it had fought for centuries to gain independence. Plenty of bloodshed. We toured the newest "basket" stadium ( home to the riots the night before) palaces, embassies, uprising monuments and old city, all which was rebuilt after the war.  In the afternoon we spent several hours touring the brand new museum if "1000 years of Polish Jewry". Very well done, interactive, beautiful display of jewish life through the ages showing how the Jews grew, studied, worked, contributed to society and finally were exterminated.
Dinner back in the old city.
